On Mother's Day 1987, Ed Blatter and wife Deby opened Cornell Farm and sold geraniums, fuchsia hanging baskets and large buckets of ripe cherry tomatoes plants grown in the first greenhouse. The business developed broader each year, adding more and more annual and perennial varieties, then containers and gardening supplies, and eventually houseplants, gifts, arbors, outdoor art, statuary and outdoor furniture. The full story of Cornell Farm actually begins in 1901. You can check out the entire history here. |
