From large shrubs to tree forms, Cornell Farm carries a wide variety of magnolias in flower colors from white to pinks, purples, yellows and black; some are evergreen.

The shrub forms stand out beautifully in larage flower or shrub borders. Both shrub and tree forms can be used in lawns as an island focal point, especially effectively where the backdrop will showcase the flowers, large winter fuzzy buds and strongly patterned branch structure.

Magnolias have a shallow root structure and do not lend themselves to planting beneath, so plan to leave a good size open area around the trunk, or surround the tree with a groundcover when the tree is installed.
Rich, well-drained soils are best for magnolias, so we recommend working EB Stone Organic Planting Compost into the soil in the planting area, then adding EB Stone Sure Start into the hole for a fast-acting booster that eliminates transplant shock.

Cornell Farm carries a great collection of trees appropriate for smaller spaces, including dwarf and espalliered fruit trees, and delivery is available.
